Meet the Team

After starting Ability Superstore in 2010, Jane is the oracle of all things "Ability" and works tirelessly to ensure our customers, both new and old, receive great customer service and a massive range of mobility aids, all at competitive prices.

Amazingly fussy about her black coffee, it takes a skilled barista to make her the right cup of coffee!

In her spare time she can be found at home, with her myriad of different pets and doting on her new grandson.

Nicola has been part of our family for over four years and is the petite powerhouse in our team. Always smiling and whizzing about, her enthusiasm is infectious. You may well encounter Nicola at some point - either on the phone or via Live Chat or email, if you ever need help and support, servicing up the exceptional customer care that Ability Superstore is renowned for.

In her spare time, Nicola likes walking up Pendle Hill, baking and spending time with her friends and family. Nicola also loves animals and is Lancashire's Dr Doolittle, looking after guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, and any other animal that she see and feels needs a loving home!

Liz joined the Ability Superstore family back in July 2021 and represents all things customer service. Working in a dynamic duo with Nicola, you're always sure to receive amazing service.

When Liz isn't helping our fantastic customers, she can be found watching her sons football team, following Manchester City, or finding the best spot for authentic Thai food or Greek mezze!

Michael is our warehouse guru, and can tell you the location of any of our thousands of products in our 18,500 square foot warehouse, in under a second!

In his spare time you can find him riding motorbikes and restoring narrowboats to their finest condition.

Carol has been with us for 3years and works in our Operations team packing orders, helping with customer returns and pricing stock for our retail concession outlets.

In her spare time she likes walking her dog, camping, researching her family history and after a long walk, settling down on the sofa to watch a good movie.

Ruta has been part of the Ability Superstore family for just over two years and along with packing orders for our customers she also works in our B2B division, packing trade orders.

When she isn't at work, Ruta likes to spend time with her family and also undertaking some baking. Her favourite food is pancakes with different toppings!

Mike joined us in 2020, as our Content Manager or Blogmeister as he prefers to call it! He is also our resident photographer and video film maker, which is handy because he is a huge movie fan!

When he isn't at work or watching the latest Disney movie, Mike can also been seen on the squash courts.

Francis is the newest addition to the prestigious Marketing team, specialising in making sure our online shop runs smoothly, as well as creating video content for our social media pages and blog posts here on the website.

Outside of work you can find him playing guitar, occasionally DJ'ing, and being a devout follower of Burnley Football Club.

Julie is our accounts guru, providing the office with a tonne of energy and passion for her job. Where there's money, Julie makes sure it's going to the right place!

You'll also hear Julie on the phones, chatting to our lovely customers when needed. Julie truly embodies the "up and at 'em!" attitude.

Adam is our resident handyman who is always fixing, repairing and building. He's a dab hand at packing too - so when it's busy he steps in to help pack customer parcels.

In his spare time he enjoys watching F1 with a lager in his hands.

Aisling is our resident Occupational Therapist, providing help, support and advice to our customers.

Ketan is our web designer/developer residing down under in Melbourne, Australia. With us from the beginning, he's always been there building our websites and helping with general coding queries nobody else is smart enough to know!

Ruth works in our accounts team, entering and checking hundreds of invoices from our suppliers.

She loves walking with her husband and two dogs.

Sandra has been with us since the start and she now works part time giving us a hand wherever needed - in Marketing, Customer Services or even in the warehouse. She also makes a mean "brew" which is perfect when everyone is busy!

Sandra is a keen cook and loves to try new recipes.

At the heart of our family is our delightful doggo, Saphi. Saphi loves to spend time in her second home, the Ability Superstore office. Getting strokes from us all, barking when the doorbell goes, sleeping, eating, and playing fetch with the postman.

Florence is an Italian Spinone and she occasionally visits the office to cause utter chaos.

Her constant wagging tale makes the room shake. She is always very cheerful to make an appearance.
